My '93 240 Coupe (KA24DE) hasn't been running too good lately. It usually won't start on the first try, and when I'm driving it will start to 'cut out'. Alot of times if I hit the gas it will hesitate and then go. It seems like it's running really rich, I can smell gas sometimes, and it's only getting around 12 mpg or so. I'm not really sure how to fix this, so if anyone knows what to do (I'm sure someone does, haha) it would help me out alot. I've replaced plugs, plug wires, cap and rotor, and fuel filter to try to fix the problem, but it hasn't helped any.

Any help would really be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi there i used to have the same problem. Heres what you do, check the MAF sensor that it is working. Also check your vacumm lines, look for rotten ones, or ones that have been put in the wrong spot. For the MAF switch with someone that has a working one.

MAF=Mass Air Flow? If so, where's it located? Sorry I don't know too much about Nissans. What vacuum lines need to be checked and where are they at? Thanks for the help.

look at the air filter box....its a square looking thing with a plug attached to it right in between the air filter box and the intake piping.....check all lines for wear and tear.....

I've got an aftermarket CAI on it, I'm gonna check it out tomorrow and see if I can find anything wrong with it. How would I check vacuum lines and all that stuff?
