Any tips and tricks? or Does and don'ts about it? i've already made a shift boot/glovebox/doors skins on the S13 just looking to replace the headliner.

And post pics of your new headliner.

Make sure you get enough material to cover it all, work it small sections to make it easier. I did mine from the bottom and worked up to the top making sure everything was nice a tight. I used 3m super 90 spray on adhesive or something like that.

Now to the pics, I did mine in red suede

Thanks amn. yes i took out the headliner, it took about maybe ten minutes to get the headliner out, i don't think you can do it with the headliner still in the car unless you paint it. I bought a meter and i still had some left.

so is that spray you used repositionable? so that if for example there is a wrinkle you can smooth it out.

i got a spray adhesive that can be moveable if you do it within reason. I did it Saturday afternoon and it wasen't too bad to do. I used a crushed black Velet and it looked awesome. woke up this morning to do the rear deck area and it was kind of saggy so tomarrow i'm gonna redo it. I think were i ****ed up was i put the velvet on then put the headliner on almost right away. so if i wait a few hours it should be better.

what was the adhesive that you used? i haven't done a headliner before...it sounds like there is a solid piece that you adhere the fabric to and then secure it to the roof?

i bought some 3M spray Adhesive from Jo-Ann Fabrics, after i got done i saw on the can "not for automotive headliners" D'OH! lol i just sprayed the adhesive on the stock headliner then put the new Fabric down onto the existing headliner and cut pushed/pressed down till it was smooth and wrinkle free (NOT EASY) then i cut the excess off and cut out the holes.

I did my headliner before. It came out pretty good. I used black suede and 3m 90 from home depot to glue it to the old headliner after ripping the old gray fabric off.

I used some "3M Hi-Strength 90 spray adhesive" you have about five seconds to move it around and "crush the wrinkles" but once it's dried it's dried. All you do is unblolt the visors, rear view mirror, and the little trim piece in the back by the dome light( if you have a hatch). then do your headliner, put everything back together and the admire you work of art.lol

just did my headliner. i had none before so i went to joe-ann fabrics, got some black craft velvet for just under $7 and then to lowes for the 3M spray as well. tips... if you have a hatch open it then close it on some of the fabric so its like a rear window curtain, then spray about 5" of the roof and fabric, wait 30 seconds, then press together and hold solid, pull tight, make sure there are no bubbles, then continue down in sections. ill take some pics of mine, i have one but its terrible cell phone quality.

good luck
