S13 Headlights

Unlike the emblamatical pop-up headlight button, mine is malfunctioning.

Anwyho here's the problem, and yes i've used that search button quite a bit but none really helped or was relatively similar.

I re-wired the brown wire as I found it cut when i bought it. But the problem is when i press it, it goes up and drops down instantly.

As for the headlight switch, the light comes on but the headlight itself wont pop up. However, when i press the headlight button it goes up and stays up. Furthermore, when i hit the high beam the light will go up then back down, unless i turn on the light switch then press the high beam.

I thought if I rewired the brown wire i can press it and have the light pop up but with the light off.

I'm not sure how to troubleshoot this as I'm new to eletrical stuff.

Any insights guys?

maybe the pop up motor is bad... mine is acting weird too but i can stil tolerate it but im planning to replace the motor soon.

Well I assume if the pop up motor is bad it wouldnt go up or something in that matter.

Mine however goes up everytime, I just have to use the high beam or push button.

The only thing wrong with the button is that with the lgihts turned off, it wont stay up unlitted.
