s13 hb highbeam problem

my headlights work normally, but when i high beam, only my right headlight turns on, my left just turns off. So i went and bought a pair of new ones, and it was the same problem. I saw this post zerothread?id=124653 and i was wondering if its the same problem, but just with the high beam? If its a light switch, would i have to go directly to nissan, or can i pick it up at a local automotive shop?Thanks, Adrian

The front bliker bolbs are dual element bulbs one of the elements could be burned out but the other could be fine. Replace the bulb. Your back up lights could either be both bulbs or the back up swithc on the trans[more likely]
