S13 Hatch SR20 Build Thread

Well i picked up my first S13 about 2 and a half years ago. It was a RB20 swapped coupe that was un godly fast for the few mods i had on her.I sold that one to a buddy of mine and hes buildin it this winter... I picked up this one to build so i can try to compete with my old 240..

Heres how she looked the day i got her. 150,000 miles. No Frame Rust or strut tower rust. amazing interior, all the body work is already done it just needs painted. and some tlc.

block that was in it the threads pulled out of the block so im getting it helio coiled, hot tanked.

pretty much stock except for a front mount, megan exhaust manifold, 3 inch exhaust into a megan pipe, and some arp head studs.

boost, oil temp, and Fuel pressure. stripped her down to the block

pulled the engine

The car is pretty much completly stripped now and my block and head are getting machined and im in the process of ordering parts. got a start but alot of work left to do. Ill post my Build Plan shortly. I also got a surplus of sr20 parts, if anyone needs anything let me know i probably have it layin around.

definatly going to be a budget build now guys..plan for the bottom end is ACL bearingsARP main Studsand oem rings... ialready got the bearings just need the studs and the rings... ill keep you posted on the rest of my build plan

Sounds like youve got it planned out! Should be nice, get arp rod bolts too.

well guys the original plan pretty much got scratched pretty quick. my machine shop called a few weeks back and said my cylinders were egg shaped so this is the revised plan..20 overMahle Pistions .20 over 8.5-1 CPREagle or Manley Rodsstill got the std acl bearings

tore apart my transmission to check everything and smooth out my blocker rings and sychronizer sleeves.





I have parts laying everywhere in my house!!Im just now starting to reorganize

lookin good, read up on the mahle pistons before you buy them. You will need to modify your oil spuirters so the pistons don't hit them.
