I like hatch and therefor i own one, but in my opinion clean coupe is wayyy better looking then hatchback. Especially with a silvia front. But anyways... if you search you will find alot of posts like this. I made one as well a while ago.

i use to be like a bunch of other people, and said the the fb looked better than the coupe. But then i saw a bunch of pictures of nice silvia coupes from japan, and in my opinion the GP Sports G4 240 is the nicest s13, its so clean and it looks mean slammed on the ground, but thats just my .02 cents

As you know, the two are basically the same car under the skin, so the differences are in the details.

Well obviously looks are a very subjective matter.

On one hand, the hatch's lines flow better from front to back, giving it a sportier look. The tail design is unique and attracts attention and recognition (this can be good or bad)

The coupe, on the other hand, is more sedated, especially when viewed from the rear. Overall it's a longer, leaner car in appearance.

Functionality: The hatch is a clear winner in terms of cargo space. The coupe's excuse for a trunk and small pass-thru to the passenger compartment is a big minus if this is going to be your only car. My g/f 's sentra swallowed almost 3x as much stuff as my coupe during our last move.

Performance: The sports performance package was only avaliable on the 91+SE hatch. Sports package = springs, anti-roll, LSD, HICAS. HICAS cars are hard to find (for purchase or as doner for parts)

Durability: Many hatches have blown hatch struts - a bit of a pain. More troublesome is the rotting that occures underneath the hatch's foam spoiler (if so equipped). Water will find its way in and rust the hell out of the mounting points.

Condition of the vehicle is just as important as specifications. We are dealing with 10-15yr old cars. All the gizmos in the world don't make the car worth sheit if the vehicle had been abused or neglected.

My 2 cents.

Cheers

From an aesthetic viewpoint, the S13 fastback is the prettiest car. In my opinion, it's one of the best-looking hatchback designs ever made. It just oozes...everything Nissan and sporty. Especially a black fastback is a cold piece (like mine, eh)

Now the couple (sic) is nice in its own right, but there are so many bland coupes out there on the roads, that it tends to not be as noticable. Plus, the taillamps are kind of dull looking.

Well, either way you'll enjoy it. Get whichever is available. The production of couple(sic)/fastback was right about 50/50 for the S13 so you have equal odds of finding either one.

Hi,I bought a couoe cuz I think it looks more aggressiveand sexier then a Hatch. People see a hatch and theysee a sports car.

People see a coupe and they're just confused cuz it doesn't exactly look like a sports car, but then again it doesn't exactly look like just another car.

Ok, I think I just confused the hell outta me.

Go to my website below (see my sig) to see pics of mycoupe. :D

Bye!

Actually, it's a pretty nice drawing.

However, you're still spelling it COUPLE. It's Coupe!

COUPE! (koop!)

As for the Kouki front end on an S13, I don't know if that will work as easy as the Silvia projector of old, although the S15 Strawberry conversion fits on...I suppose anything is possible, provided you're willing to put the work in.

That's how it went for me. I like the way the fastback looks, so that's what I got. Just pick the body style that you like best and wait for a good one.

I personally wouldn't worry about looking for the "sport package", since you're gonna mod the hell out of the car anyway, right? Unless you really want HICAS (four wheel steering), you can get stiffer springs, a better LSD, etc. that what was in the sport package.

if you have a hatch and want to look cool you have to strip the interior.
