S13 Greddy intake manifold bracket needed?

The Greddy intake manifold i bought came with a bracket to use as a support for the underside. It normally attaches to the bracket that is attached to the alternator adjustment bracket. I do not have anywhere to attach it to unless i put a section of the bracket back in but at that point it really wont be doing much at all.

Anyone else have a similar manifold with or without the bracket? I am not running an IACV so it really does not weight that much. Do you think it would be ok with out it?

I don't use my bracket. My car takes a thrashing every weekend at the track with no issues for the last year
