Has anybody installed one of these on their S13? I'm getting a lot of vibration on the front end after the install. I'm just wondering if this is happening to anyone else or if I just screwed up the fraking install.

Anything that stiffens the chassis of any car is going to increase NVH issues. What your feeling was already there but is just now being amplified.

What are you refering to as a ladder bar anyways? Are you refering to the power brace between the tension rods?

I installed a front ladder bar, Nismo tension rods and a Nismo power brace this weekend. I assumed that the extra vibration was coming from the ladder bar but I guess it could be the power brace or a combination of them both. The ladder bar is running right under the transmission as you can see in the pic.

can you describe the vibration at all? these things are notoriously hard to diagnose (sp?) not to mention we're doing it online

I'll give it a try. When I start the car it sounds a LOT louder in the cockpit than before and I can feel a vibration that was not there before or was not as apparent as before the installation of these parts. It does feel much tighter on the frontend but it seems like a lot of vibration or movement of the engine and its parts are coarsing through either one or both of these bars and that vibration is coming right at me through the cockpit. It may sound strange to say but it seems like I can almost feel that freakin' bar below me.

what's the difference between the nismo tension rods and oem tension rods? is it just the bushings?

It's days later...the frontend is much improved over before and I hardly notice the extra noise...problem solved!

I jacked the car back up this past weekend and it turns out that the bar was positioned slightly askew. Part of my transmission was touching the bar...hence the extra vibration and noise. Fixed that. Whoops!

It always feels better when you figure it out yourself. Good to hear nothing broke in the process
