Whats up guys,
I have a 1990 s13 with the original ka24e motor. Its got about 217k miles on it but still running strong lol Eventually i want to replace the motor but i found some rot coming from the bottom of the strut towers in the front of the car. Its starting to separate from the rails and should definitely be taken care of before i do anthing

. I was told that it could be welded up but like cancer theres no guarantee that it wont come back. I live in NYC and found a front clip from JDM engine world that the owner said he would sell to me for 400. It does not come with any body parts just the frame from the firewall foward. Does this sound like a reasonable price for a clip? Im not too familiar with the process to replace it but what is a ball park price to have this done from a shop if i were to prep it myself. (and by prep i mean remove all the body parts). Like i said the motor is still running strong and the timing chain and water pump were replaced before i bought the car so im not going to repalce the motor at this time. Realistically i would like the car to be structurally sound and have the brakes/suspension done before i start even looking into a motor. The car is 100% stock at this time and was driven my an old man before i bought it so it wasnt beaten on

Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated before i start putting some $$ into her. Thanks!
