well i was wondering about just the front conversion from 4 lug to 5 lug. i was going to just buy some aftermarket hubs that just bolt right in, but iv read that i can directly bolt on z32 hubs. is that true? if not, what do i need? i really dont want to change a lot id rather just get the simplest route. Also read up on the j30 hubs. thanks.

Here's a good write up. For the fronts you either need conversions, or you need to go all out and swap for s14 components http://www.sillbeer.com/5lugswap.php

The z32 rear hubs bolt right in. Take the fronts to a machine shop and have them weld up the holes for the Old studs and redrill the 5 lug patern and press in new wheel studs. My guy at. My machine shop is the one who Turned me ro doing it that way.( saved me money and made him some money)

Z32 fronts will not fit S13 or S14. S14 front will not S13 knuckles either. Only way you can use s14 is if you use complete s14 front lower control arms wth knuckles and hub.

S13 FRONT OPTION: Ebay, Ichiba, S14 complete LCA and entire knuckle set up.

S13 REAR OPTION: Z32 N/A 90-96. Z32 turbo will not fit since turbo hub splines are different. Z32 N/A Rear will fit both s13 and s14, but you must use Z32 Ebrake set up or keep S chassis rotors drillled to 5x114.

*J30 will not fit anything, s13 nor s14, nor 300zx. 100% certain, I tried, and I am the 5 lug king.

Go to the link below, you'll find the Definitive 300zx brake swap plus other s13/s14 stuff you might need to do.

what do you mean j30 hubs wont fit anything their actually your best quality option... the front hubs from a j30 will fit a s13 (i would know their on my car right now). what you must do is press out the bearings from the j30 hubs as well as your stock hubs.

then with the bearings out you must cut a groove in the j30 hubs for the bearing retaining clip into the hub itself, then install s13 hub bearings into j30 hub and then install the clip and g2g.

i used the j30 for the front and z32 for the rear works great

Last I heard, there was a little more to it than that... more machine work. If you have to fabricate stuff, it's not the best option for everyone.

People with big off roading trucks have been doing that for quite some time. I wouldn't do it... but I'm just throwing that out there.

the only machine work needed is pressing the bearings in and out and cutting the retaining clip groove.

a good machine shop shouldn't charge much for it to be done and hey its all OEM parts no backyard welding needed GL.
