hey Guys, I`m the proud owner of a 1992 240sx SE and I was just wondering. When I start the car, my daytime running lights are what seems to be fog lights under the bumper, are these supposed to stay lit when I turn on my headlights or are they supposed to turn off ? Cuz I seem to remember seeing some s-13 of that era with these on at night. If so, what could be my problem ? How do I make them lit ?

Thx guys !!

u buy your car from canada?.. i dont fully understand what lights u are talkin about.. it goes.. headlights, then turnsignal/parkinglights, then (my car doesnt have these) the day time running lights (i think they are for canada only) If this is what your talking about.. then yes.. i would think they should be on all the time.. but i dunno really..

Yep, from Canada, so yep.. you're quite right.. the fog / daytime lights are under the turn signals...

Yeh I am from Canada as well. These daytime lights only turn on after the car is running for a while or when it is put in gear. But they do shut off once the headlights are turned on.My problem is my passenger one doesn't work and I cannot get it to work. I have replaced the bulb but that doesn't seem to work. My mechanic told me to check the fuses but they all seem to be fine. I don't know what else. Some guys from work told me to check the ground but if you have looked under the front it is impossible to get at anything.

the canadian lights they sell at http://www.clearcorners.com for the s13 will only run with the headlights off? That's whack! I'm sure it's possible (when installing on a US 240) to wire them to run at night with the headlights, i was thinking of buying aftermarket fog lamps, Piaa, or Catz, but i like the canadian lamps because they fit in that unsightly gap

why doesn't anyone answer my post about the lamps dammit?????:squint

Hey BlinkOR, all the canadian 240sx got a limited slip diff but, not all of them got HICAS. Think you may have confused the two. :sleep

The only one's ive seen that don't have HICAS are the 89/90 SOHC.... i'm pretty sure it wasn't even available until '91, when it became standard on all 240's, no?
