I'm still trying to FIND a car in the first place, but I'm just wondering...Should I go for a 92-93 fastback or a 95 coupe?I want to eventually do the SR swap, so I was just curious if there were any advantages/disadvantages to either car?I'm havin one heck of a time even finding a car worth looking at (everything's been automatic or had way too many miles)I'm trying my hardest to be patient, but I'm getting discouraged cuz these things are in such high demand!Any wise words would be helpful & greatly appreciated! :D

Well first things first, what can you afford to spend?

I wouldn't be too concerned about the miles, especially if you're planning on doing a swap eventually. A high mileage car that has been driven well, maintained and cared for will be a lot less expensive and reliable than a low mileage with a questionable history.

I say drive each one of them i.e. S13 and S14. If you like them both, keep your eyes and ears open for both. If not, narrow down your choices. I think in the end it will comes down to whatever you are willing and able to spend. Whatever that $$ figure is, try to find the best looking one you can find for that $$ figure.

I've driven an s14. I liked it, but no s13 yet so i can't compare.I know high-mileage cars are ok when maintained, but it's just a question of if they were maintained & driven well. The swap wouldn't be for another few months, so it would have to be reliable until then.I can spend about $4k, but I would rather it be less.I know good things come to those who wait, but they say that about sex too haha. I'm just anxious/ancy, n gettin a lil mad that I can't find anything...you'd think there'd be a nice selection in ATL?

most people go with s13's if they are doing a swap - just cause they are cheaper and mileage doesn't matter too much if your swapping.

S13fb will be lighter but not as rigid as an s14.

yeah i like the fastback n not-so-bulky body style. a lot of the 92-93's interiors are pretty beaten (one was just ripped to shreds, but they were askin $3900 for it) i wouldn't mind a few tears if it was for less money...
