s13 Engine question.. engine shutting down?

ok... car has been running great... till today

the car has a rough start... It basically won't start.. I'll turn to ignite the car and it will take forever for the engine to start... and if it does start it will only stay on for like a few seconds... than the engine will basically slowly shake and shut off... I try adding gas to it... but the moment I press on the gas it turns off... I'm a newb to cars... learning... still learning.. any question.. I checked that everything is connected... wut else could be wrong?thanks

sounds like a fuel pressure problem. Check you regulator and make shure there is no gas in the vaccume line when you pull it off. Or it could be a fuel filter. Or bad fuel pump. hook up a fuel pressure gauge and check what your pressure is when you key the car on. Thats were i would start if it starts like you say.
