Just looking for some input from people who have done this install before I tear into it. I tried a topic search, but it seems not many people have done this Mod. Any way, the stock bushings on my 92 have started to disappear and I already have the ES bushing kit. Just waiting to buy my coilovers(TEIN SS most likely) So I will only Have to align it once.

I have access to a garage that I can leave car on jackstands, and also a hydraulic press. Not too sure which bushings need to be burned out, and I need details on the rear subframe insert install.

I plan on taking a week of leave to do it, I dont trust any shops around here to work on my car. Any info or past experiences would be great.

thanks

the front and sub-frames are cake, and no alignment is needed until you have to do the rear. The sub-frame in particular is the one of the easiest things I have done, just do each bolt one at a time so the other 3 keep it in posision. The front control arm bushings need to be burnt out, the tension rods can be pressed, sway bar d-bracket and end-links need neither. The rack ones can be a pitta because the stiffer urethane doesn't slip into the grove very easily, I ended up finally being able to get it wrapped around the rack right, then compressing the bushing with a c-clamp around the x-member and bracket to get the two close enough to start threading the bolts then evenly tightened the two.

as for the rear... I ran out of time in class to get them done so they are still waiting, but you do have to burn most of them out/ take the rear pretty well apart.

It didn't make a huge difference, as I did it one piece at a time but it help the cars turn in a little and it feels more stable and confidence inspiring. Lemme know if you have any more questions, but the kit comes with semi decent instructions and if you can use a press it doesn't get much more complex then remembering were everything goes
