s13 electrical

What's up guys. I just bought an 89 coupe, automatic, base model. here's what we did to it. We put ka24de from a 96, 5 speed swap. The engine fire up and everything, BUT none of the electrical work. The only light that come on is the headlight, however, the head light doesn't flip up. We are using the top harness from 1992 240 5spd and the lowe harness from the car. The light didn't came on since we got the car. Also, the battery light is on as well. We check all the fuses got voltage but still no light at all(interior, brake light, signal lights, dash light, blower, absolutely nothing.) what do you guys think? After 3 days of work . I just can't think anymore. Please help

I am having that exact problem with my 91 coupe also. No power at all except the headlights, but it wont flip up either. but itll start up fine though.. i want to find this out also..

start by checking all your fuses, engine bay and kick panel. also, check your relays to make sure everything is getting power.

we already check all the fuses. we check the relay but will check it again tomorrow.

this is C,I'm his brother. what we have done with this car was, swap in a DOHC ka into an 89, and also swap it to 5 speed. the engine start. but none of the lights work. the radio has been riped off...so I'm thinking maybe something was also riped off..I'm going to double check all my fuses and relays today. but all input welcome. C

mines is the same with a 5 speed swap also... it was working at first but then i took my sr out to fix.. put it back in and then it just went out on me.. so same situation like urs..

bump.. anyone have anymore ideas for us?? for my car i checked the fuses and that red connector where the two plugs, plugs into also.. also the inside and outside relays.. so more ideas would be appreciated..

With a swapped engine, it becomes difficult to diagnose as we've no idea what you've done to the wires.

So how wires do you have running to the + terminal of the battery?

well im not sure exactly.. i didnt do the wires.. they were working at first.. just that.. i took my motor out to fix the rod bearing.. put them back and now its not working..
