OK first off I'm a new member here but I've been browsing for about a month. I lost my license for getting 2 speeding tickets in one year while under 18 (I've since turned 18 (even before the suspention notice was sent to me) but the told me it didnt matter and I still lose) :( So this gives me time to save up some money. I'm seriously considering an s13 240 with a sr20 swap. I've heard the East bear headlight conversion for the s13 is not very bright at all and has horrible lighting properties. I'm curious about a few things. One: Would new lamps help the lighting? Or is it just because how it's set up the lighting just cant be good? Also my friend has a 92 3000gt VR4 and his flipup headlight sucked and he could get away with driving with his high beams on all the time and no cars would flash him or anything my second question is with the high beams on do you think it would be bright enough to satisfy me? I really like the look of the conversion as I hate flip up headlights but the cost is high so I want to make sure I'm gonna be able to get some use out of it.

well that's what I was thinking too, but everyone seems to make such a big deal out of it so it got me wondering. If there is such an easy fix what's the big deal?
