axle bolts are 12mm, driveshaft are 14mm.

but seriously, if you must ask then maybe 240sx_ch08 is right. ive torn my 240 down to pretty much a bare shell and built it back up and if i ever wondered what size a bolt was, i put a wrench or socket to it.

Whoa whoa whoa. Chill. I'm 99% positive he doesn't mean the head size, but thread pitch and length.

Make sure you get a proper grade as well. Some sites sell 10 and 12 grading. Cost more but worth it.

I THINK they are M10mm x 1. pitch OR M10 x 1.25. They are fine thread, but I cannot say with absolute certainty that they are one or the other.

It just occured to me that the thickness is more important than the pitch.

That's what I do too. Most of the time, they have been treated, so tehy should last longer than some random bolts from hardware store. Most of all, they are designed to take the factory torque spec.

I wouldn't trust even OEM in high horsepower application. Nissan OEM hardware is only rated at metric grade 8.8 (92 KSI), if you look in the right place, you can find grade 12.9 (170 KSI) that is nearly twice the yield strength of the stock bolts. I have been building race cars since 1992 and I never use stock hardware in critical application. As for price, OEM is really expensive compared to looking in the right place for high strength bolts.
