So here is my build. I picked this car up as an ex drift car that was in dire need of some work. we had planned on a few quick repairs and having her back on the track asap. Those thoughts went out the window quite fast and we have now been in the process of building this for the past 6 months or so.

we pulled the motor and re sealed the entire thing.

pulled every harness and wire out of the car to redo it all to our needs.

cut front rad support out to make room for front tube bumper

custom dash is in the works as we speak.

planning to have her track ready for March...

open to constructive criticism. always looking for new ideas.

Looks pretty serious so far!!!
Are you going to attempt to put any bumper on the front at all, or just leave it nothing but pipe?

I guess if its a drift only car, you can do it.

Unfortunately at that point you forgo all of your crumple zones. If you whack something, it'll transfer all the energy into whatever its welded to.

Man I want a front end like that with the tubing. I'd want my bumpers on though to keep the mirage of it being a street car. Other than that dood sick work :dblthumb:

yeah its a strictly track car or else id be mounting a bumper. but the tubing is only 1/16 wall so we will see what happens when I hit something. on my next chassis i will be designing it a little differently.

And thanks Ive put a lot of hours into this thing

heres a few more progress photos...

finished my intake setup and pcv system. just waiting on my flange for the z32 maf so i can put the air filter on. Today i ripped out all the stock fuel lines and got the fuel cell and battery box bolted in. fpr adapter is in as well. fuel system is ready to be buttoned up just waiting on the rest of my an line. hood, fenders and hatch are going for primer tomorrow.

yes i know the fuel cell is facing the wrong way in the photo but i did mount it with fittings to the rear of the car.

hoping to start it this weekend or next week some time.

will be posting more progress photos soon. dash is in the making as we speak.

I see it now!
It just looked a little weird. You've got a bit of a weird grip on the torch in that pic. That and it looks like its actually slinging more sparks than I'm used to.

lol yeah my machine decided to switch it self back to the stick setting. so in that picture my tungsten is actually exploding as i went to strike an arc. cool shot but your right definitely not what tig welding normally looks like. good eye.

scuffing up body panels for primer. should have it all done by friday. I also got around to masking off and spraying the cage white to go with my black and white theme. the pink really didn't fit in.

Those are some good looking welds in the last pic. Did you even use any filler, or is that all just metal transfer?
