S13 Door unlocking on its own.

I have a manual locks on my S13. Whenever I open the door and lock the car, then shut the door, the door will unlock. Anyone have an idea as to why? None of my previous S13's would do this. It happens on the passenger and driver side.

yup, nissan desinged it that way to keep you form locking your keys in the car, you have to hold up on the door handle when you close the door to keep it from unlocking, if you take the door latch out you'll find a little tab of metal that causes this it can be ground off

Its the first 240 I had with manual locks, its just took me by surprise. Learn something new about these cars everyday.
