S13 Distributor...

Is there a difference between the sohc and dohc S13 distributors? If so, do they interchange? I wanna switch my S14 distributor out for one with external coil and sohc parts are readily available...

The sr20det doesnt use a distributor it is "DIS" distributorless ignition with coil packs

I don't think he was refering to the SR but rather the KA. And no, you can't put a sohc one in, you need one from 91-93 but not sure on how you'll wire that up.

i figured i'd have to use the 91-93 one...and its been done plenty of times before...

Oh and SR's are JDMgay, KA-T's are hardcore!!!

Well my gay KA blew up on me (I have since UPgraded to the sr20det) so I have some parts left but not the distributor. Ive got a 5speed transmission, exhaust mani. some odds and ends. Interested?

like Silvia007 said you'll need to rewire it, but it's not just plug and play, it won't even plug in, yet alone play
