Hey guys, just wanted to give you a heads up I am doing the digital climate control conversion on my S13.

I will make a video which will include:- Parts you need and what they look like.- Converting the JDM Sub-Harness and getting it ready for the car its going into- In the car - start to finish of the actual install.

And I will post it on Youtube... if the install works :-P :-)

Anyone interested in this, or should I just do an undocumented install?

First part of video is done which discusses parts needed, and sub harness prep work is done!

I have a twitch bug on my videos though, from new nvidia drivers I believe... so working on that so I can edit it :-)

Doing the car install today!

A video on how to install the s13 dcc into a s13 won't do you much good for a s14 dcc into a s14. I've swapped the dcc into both and the only thing that is similar is the sensors and the general location of where they mount.

I cant wait to see these videos. I have had the DCC parts forever, just have never installed them. This will definitely give me the motivation/encouragement.

So far almost everything is done, except the havac motor.. the thing that controls the temp..

I cant find any good picture of how people mounted it... The way the JDM thing rotates on the end of the rod, is backwards to the US version..

Anyone have a solution? :-)

An S14 video would be nice. I have the Dcc but still need to source my other parts. I'll try to video tape mine when I get around to it. Or at least take pics. Let us know how difficult the 13 swap was.

Ok, I have everything in, and everything is working except the temp control motor... And when I hit the brakes the thing cuts off and turns back on.. and my radio isnt working??

It might be from me grounding somewhere else. So, ill double check that in the morning...

Edit: Was bad cell in battery, replaced battery and all back to normal :-)

I found out, that I did everything right haha...

The problem with it shutting off, and the radio not working was because the battery was almost dead... which is weird since I just charged it up!!!

So it works fully :-)

ill start editing the video, and put it up within the next few days!

Ok everyone, it was a dead cell in my battery lol..

New battery and everything works as expected. Added a video with diagnostic mode, going through each screen, and seeing what my bugs are..

So far: I need the in cabin air sensor which I need to find...- I need to replace the havac or mix door motor since it doesnt seem to work, and the regular motor for the doors in inside is making noises (which is what it was doing before the dcc)..

Function test of the DCC passed :-)

This is a VERY easy install, and hopefully the video will help more of you get it done!

lol... There is a ton of extra due to the pigtail that I got to plug into the stock, then had to wire the stereo one into that... lol

And then my siren is in there too.

I rerouted all the wires I had going to the center area from the bay over the resistor... theres a nice route to take to keep everything out of the way.

Well, thats actually about it... Part 3 would be showing the wires I connected to for the sunload sensor, but I didnt go into much detail, then reiterating the other wiring stuff... Then I still have to make a video about how I mounted the HAVAC motor, and mounted the piece (which I need a USDM replacement for anyway...) and install the in cabin air sensor, and the ambient outside sensor...

Ok, I will be working on the third part of the video tomorrow which will cover the mounting of the HAVAC motor (which mine works now that I plugged in the in cabin air sensor from a mid nineties infiniti :-)), install of the in cabin air sensor, install of the ambient outside air sensor, and a function test :-P
