S13 Differential into an S14?

Besides switching diff covers, what other modifications are needed to get the S13 pumpkin into an S14? I searched around but could only find S14 diffs going into S13's. Anyone done this? I'm thinking it should work if I stick with the the hardware/bushings from the S14 and the rear cover of course. Just need some clarification

Would be the same mods if you were to s14 into s13, except, reverse. Pretty much a no-brainer.

u need spacers, i used lots of 1/2" washers. the s13 rear end has bushings for the 2 bolt holes that bolts on to the chassis. so it's either u get the factory bushings or buy aluminum diff bushings or use washers with stock s14 bolts.

Probably a no brainer to somebody that has already done it. But I haven't and that is why I'm asking.

Read up some more on it and what you are saying is for an S14 in to an S13. You have it backwards.S14 is the one with the bushings. S13 has none.

^ correct. I did exactly that swap this weekend. convinced neibor with 92 with HICAS to swap diffs and give me his rear sway. need to swap rear covers and just ust the hardware from the s13. the housing on the s14 has huge holes for bushings and longer bolts.
