S13 DCC Using Maxima Blend Door Acuator

So I recently aquired an S13 Digital Climate Control in a trade with a friend and he had all of the sensors from a Nissan Maxima which will work. He also had a blend door actuator from a Maxima with no linkage at all. I knew that you needed the S13 Silvia blend door actuator but I accepted the trade anyways and attempted to find one online, which I later found to be impossible. They are pretty hard to get a hold of. I ended up doing the install and used the Maxima actuator and got it working 100%. I do not know if this has been done before or not but I did not find anything on it yet so I thought I might do a write up on it if anyone is interested. Let me know...the best part about it is if the actuator ever goes out, you still may be able to get one if not discontinued from Nissan, if so that's what junk yards are for I guess...

please let me know that is my current situation right now! I have evrything wired but no BDA. Can you please do a detail right up PLEASE! I am not sure if I did it 100%. I followed the video guide of the only one I found on you tube.

What year maxima? Since you mentioned it, I was thinking about swapping to the s13 digital climate control since I have all my 96 maxima sensors, will those work or are yours from a different gen?

in the end the BDA plugs right into the DCC subharness and you need to fab your own linkage system. after all that you still need to put the dcc into diagnostic mode to get it to go full closed or open.

Umm...it is kind if ghetto but it works 100% perfect just like oem. You only have to go into diagnostic mode when you are initially fabricating the linkage to make sure you have it set up right. The system will not go to full hot or cold normally because it tries to go to the desired temperature therefore it only moves the door to the amount it needs to to get to that temperature...But I'm glad I made a useful contribution and was criticized about it thanks...
