sup fellas, I'm replacing my stolen system with a 10jlw0 that will be powered with a kenwood 350 watt amp. The problem I'm having is that I dont want to have something blocking the rear strut tower area. I had an idea to seal the spare tire well with a board and some silicone and weather stripping. Do you guys think this setup will work??? Thanks again!

Scroll down to the section on the CRX. Would be good if you could find the original Car Audio magazine from April '89.

This guy made a box to fit in his spare, versus removing it...

Okay, I'm done for now :D

fiberglass the spare well, and build a box from that, it strengthens the body a little and lets you have a sub, thats what i did with mine, i got two 12 jlw0

gotta love fiberglass can do so many thigns with it its my version of duct tape:) when doing it make sure to check your draft angles of the spare tire well so if you lay your glass down it will actually pull back out and not catch on anythign. sucks to have to break it out if it doesn't. and bolt the sh*t down to the car and follow it up with some form of security screws on teh sub and amp so its not as easy to steal . building a box to fit a spare really cuts down on cubic air volume i'd rather put a full size spare to match your rims if you have the room to showcase it

thought of a really sweet semi stealth idea built a box that you could wrap a tire around and use a 15" or 18 even and have a custom grill to match your rims. might take alittle planning and work but would definatly look badas$
