s13 coupe

hey whats up? iv searched the **** out of yahoo,google and this forum but nothing comes up so if you could help me out id appreciate it.

i was planning(still might)on getting a 95 240 and droping a sr in it but was told to get 400hp(flywheel) i would have to deal with alot of lag. so i figured i could go for the s15 turbo and get 350 without the lag and run mid 12's, whitch aint bad.but a s13 coupe with the silvia front end and a body kit looks pretty bad *** and is lighter so i was thinking bout one of them but couldnt find the info i need.

1. what year were s13 coupes made? 2.i read that s13 jdm silvias only had the ca engine but you can buy s13 sr's so wtf is up with that?? 3.im pretty sure jspec s13 silvia came with the sr, so what year jspec s13 silvias got the redtop and what years got the blacktop?(trying to duplicate a exact replica silvia) 4.how much does a s13 coupe wheigh? thanks

s13 = 89-93Silvias came with the CA in 89-90 and the SR from 91 onredtop is the earlier models blacktop is later modelss13 coupe is about 2700lbs

S13 silvia never got the blacktop S13 SR20, only 95-98 S13 180sx's did. In Japan the S13 silvia was produced 88-94, and the 180sx from 89-98. All turbo model silvias 88-90 were CA18DET, All turbo model silvias from 91-94 were redtop SR20DET equiped.

You'll never hit 350 whp with the S15 T28, 300-310 is max with alot of tuning and every support mod you can imagine. If you want a solid 350 at the wheels, go with a garret GT25R.

the garrett GT25R will definitely get you 300-350, but the S15 T28 will spool up faster. Take your pick. More power later, or less power earlier.

But then again, when all you're doing is drag racing, I guess you don't have to worry about low end power like you do when you're auto-xing

naw im talking 350hp at the crank not the wheels. so the s15 turbo would be cool for that. and i dont want a straight up drag car with no power off the line i just want a bad *** steet car with power all around that can hit low 12's, so i was thinking a s13 with a s15 turbo putting down 300hp to the wheel with suspension and a some weight tooken off might be a good choice or a s14(like the looks) even though it a little heavier

oh i forgot to ask, that gerrett turbo your talking about to hit 350whp when will that hit boost like 400rpm? this will be my first turboed car so im not sure about everything, a turbo that dont boost till 4000rpm means the car will be pretty bad off the line right? thanks guys i appreciate it.
