I have a 92 240sx Coupe and I'm trying to figure out the bestway to mount a 10" sub in the trunk. I am getting anAlpine MRP-M350 200W mono sub and Alpine SWR-1041DType-R 10" sub.

The 10" will prolly require a box with a total height of 12" to 14"according to my measurements, and that kind of height spacethe trunk just doesn't have where I want to put the box (veryclose to rear seat). Also I want to build a box with atleast .8cubic feet of volume.

So I figured I put the sub at an angle. See the pic below for thekind of box I plan to design: This is a rendering I did in a 3D program.

Comments?

I don't think it'll fit. I believe there is about 11 inches of clearance back there

Can I build a box with the sub facing up? That way I'd only need10" or 11" total (since sub is about 7" from front to back).

Would a sub facing up have any issue over sound? I've been toldit won't make that much a deal, and should be fine...

overall it won't make tha big of a difference in sound....you dont have tons of sound deadening and its not like its a competition set up...I've played around with alot of sub set ups and I know TONS of people with subs facing up.....even in 4 door sedans, coupes, tons of different types of cars, shouldnt make any difference....
