Just find out how much room the woofer needs to sound decent (I know there's a technical name for it, but I can't think right now) and make a box that suits it and your space requirements, or...you could just take out your backseat and drop a monster of a box there...

The manual that came w/ the sub should tell what dimensions the sub needs (volume of air). Use that and get some high density board and caulk. Head over to a audio shop and get carpet, handles, etc and have fun. I have made 2 boxes, and both were easy to build. Baisc carpentry knowledge is all that is needed, and it is like $20 in materials.

I have 2 10" JL's sitting in a box that is slightly smaller than it should be. It fit's nice between the wheel wells and is just a hair too tall. (had to slightly modify trunk rods .. well I bent them sounded technical) After all was said and done it pumps nice has nice tight bass. The only thing I'm missing is the really low rolling bass that a bigger box with greater volume would give me. I my box is just a stereo shop bought unit.

If your interested in the size I can go take a pic & measure it. Might help with your design. One 12" would probably pump just nicely in that size of box.

Here are some pics. Sorry about the quality but I was trying to take these in the Garage without making too much noise. Wife and daughter are sleeping in the bedroom above the garage

The dimensions of the box are 30" W x 10" deep x 12" High

Build your own box. I did that after making sure I had enoughroom in the trunk to close it.

At first I kept my box on the side but then later switched to thecenter. Since I like to 'drift' and screw around sometimes,I bought two L brackets from the hardware store and anchoredmy box to the spare tire cover. It holds very well and doesn'tslide around. :)

See my site below for pics...

custom is the way to go... there are plenty of programs out on the net to aid in optimum volumes, shapes, types, etc. Many sub-specific things factors come into play. Get your sub spec's in hand, dig around for the programs mentioned above, and be prepared to do a little math(when you have the volume it is simply a matter of geometry).

I took the time to build a dual 12" box for my two Blaupunkts... check out http://www.the12volt.com. I would reccomend a simple sealed box.

Measure your dimensions of the trunk carefully, I was _very_ close in fitment after I got carpet on the box...

...oh and make sure to use 4" screws when securing the box to the floor of the trunk...j/k
