OK so over the winter i decided it would be a good time to replace all my bushings, so i bought the RS R complete bushing kit on cyber Monday. So as of right now i got my sub frame powder coated and waiting on SPL solid bushings and the rest of the rear parts clean and old rubber burned out. However as i was browsing some forums i seen a guy taking out the metal insert ring out of the control arm, i thought you only take the metal rings off the sub frame? Can anyone clarify if u remove all the inserts of all the parts or only some parts? I'm confused >.< and i don't want to remove something i wasn't supposed to. Here are some pics of were I'm at at the moment. id post pics but im new and dont get it yet >.< Thanks

you remove some of the inserts depending on the bushing kit and the location. i used the es kit and took all the metal rings out of the uprights both front and back, tension rods, rucas, and lcas, with the single exception of the front lower control arm where it attaches to the engine cradle. always refer to the instructions as the kits can differ and when in doubt call the manufacturer.
