S13 Cluster

Hey guys, Im wonderin if you can use a ka24e cluster in a ka24de? To make things more confusing im converting from a HUD to analog. If anyone has any imput or diagrams of what wires to splice it would be greatly appreciated.

no u cant the rmps will be off the speedo might work tho you just need to get an analog harness harness its plug and play

The tach wont work. Other than that I believe it is plug and play.

When i did it i did not have a speedo or a tach but everything else worked

Huh. I'm sure there is a way to hard wire the speedo and tach but I doubt anyone knows how. Thanks for the info though

you can use the ka24e cluster in the ka24de. you need to change out the tach. thats it. my speedo is a bit off but it works otherwise just fine

So can I pull the tach out of the ka24de cluster I have and use it? Its a HUD so I wonder if it will have the same plug in?

a tach is a tach, analog or digital cluster .... its just the KAE has a differnet signal then the DE.

it can be done. i have HUD, digital speedo, and the entire analog cluster in my HATCH. and, to make matters worse, i had to split each harness. my car has an SR20. the HUD i have came from a KA24E. no worries tho! i took the harnesses from each cluster, cut them in half, used the analog plugs for the sub harness end and the digital plugs for the cluster end. i found a diagram online of what each wire went to, but i mainly just followed the traces on the back of the cluster housing, and its pretty simple with most of it. solder the wires together, and plug them in and there you go. the only part that was a little complicated was wiring the HUD itself. the digital speedo was a piece of cake. but since you're only going with analog, its no problem. i also have some cluster harnesses if you need one











(this is the knob that turns it to km/h and MPH/ and turns off the HUD)

Thats sick man. You still got the link to that website? I cut a harness out of a ka24e. Im guessin thats what i need then if Im takin a cluster out of a ka24e.

thanks man, it took a lot of work, but ill see if i can find that website, i cant remember it right off the top of my head, but if i find it, ill post it. also the FSM helped too
