S13 climate control problem? no heat or a/c

symptoms:-a/c used to always be on, like it was stuck, never got hot when i would slide the temp over. one day i a/c stopped working completely and only vents now.

-last month i was repairing some problems with my brake switch under the dash and moved a control box that i think moves the vents in different directions. now that doesn't wanna switch to any other direction but vent to the windshield.

i would just like to figure out whats going on here, i know my dash has been replaced.

i took out the climate control to see what was going on behind it and noticed a wire hanging there....

then went behind my glove box to see if there was something going on there and only found this...

now i haven't yet but i'm going to replace coolant along with a new t-stat soon. bought the car 6 months ago and haven't really messed with it too much.any help would be great thanks guys

That wire is your blend door(temperature control)cable.It needs to be hooked up to the control lever.The other thing i am not so sure about , but i will see what i can find out.

so does the wire go on the sliders to tell it which vent is open?

It controls the temperature,the buttons control the airflow.
