s13 clear side lenses...

hey i just got clear front lenses on my black s13 and i think it might look better if i got clear side lenses, but i dont know where to get them or how to get the factory ones off. i have seen that some of you guys have them so give me some dirrections please! thanx

thats alot of cash for 2 little tiny lights. no thanx. the way i look at it its either a strut bar or 2 tiny ricer lights. ill stick with the orange i guess

You can buy the clear ones on eBay. Just search for Altima lights and they'll pop up for like $18 plus something ridiculous like $10 shipping. I'm almost certain that the Altima front sidemarkers are interchangeable with the 240sx. To remove the ones on your car just grab the front part of the lens and slide it towards the rear of the car. Do this carefully because if your lenses are old and brittle they'll crack. Then again, if you're buying new ones who cares...If that doesn't work, reach under the fender and push it rearward from the underside.

Yes, those were the units I was referring to. They SHOULD work. I know that the lenses are identical but I'm not entirely sure about the back of the housing. Even if they are different, it's no biggee because you can simply transfer the clear lenses to your old housings. A couple minutes in the oven @ about 300 degrees should free things up nicely.

Word. Let me/us know about any fitment/ wiring issues that arise, too. I'm also interested in converting my sidemarkers to clears. Once converted, it will still be technically street legal, right? Even if it isn't, i'd still do it. =)

Your front sidemarkers should be legal but your rear sidemarkers, if i recall correctly, must reflect red. Thus, if you use clear lenses on the back ones, they technically would be illegal. I doubt you'd get pulled over for some ish like that though...

When I was driving my brothers Integra with front clears, I was pulled over. Though I'm sure it was just an excuse to see if they were drugs or anything else of that nature.

i think you're allowed to have front clears with amber bulbs. i always got pulled over with blue bulbs..i switched to xtreme white and haven't had the problem since.

Let me know if the Altima sidemarkers fit, because I do not want to drop $40 on sidemarkers (the clears for 240's on Ebay) if I can pay half as much for the Altima ones...

I have clear bumper lenses with hyper-white bulbs...bluish tint...so far so good as far as cops.

amazingly enough they STILL havent come in yet. they will be here thursday. I talked to brokeas240 (the 240sx owner from PIMP MY RIDE) and he had them on his car. he said they worked. we will see...

NO, the ONLY MODIFICATIONS were because i have a replacement fender and replacement OEM sidemarker so the socket had a different twist lock. you SHOULD NOT have any modifications, if u do it is easy. takes 2 minutes
