S13, Chassis code unilateral?

Just wanted to check and see if I refer to my car as an S13, am I crossing the USDM/JDM line? Is at US chassis 240SX still referrable as an S13? I thought that S13 was a chassis code and was unilateral regardless of whether it was a 180SX, Silvia, whatever.

Yes, S13 is the chassis code for both the JDM Silvia and 180sx as well as the USDM 240sx

generally all S13s but there are specific codes based on engine, body, and HICAS

S13 = coupe with CA RS13 = fastback with CA PS13 = coupe with SR RPS13 = fastback with SR HS13 = coupe with KA24E RHS13 = fastback with KA24E MS13 = coupe with KA24DE RMS13 = fastback with KA24DE

a K in front would be a model with SuperHICAS

oh btw, the codes for SR and CA motors are the same whether or not it's turbo

i don't know why nissan made different codes for the sohc and dohc KA
