S13 Center Armrest compartment problems

My armrest/compartment thing is having some issues. When you open the lid and swing it toward the rear, it comes out all the way and flops back into the back seat.

Does anyone know what originally held this thing in to keep it from coming all the way out?

The way it looks right now, it has that little arch going from the lid into the console...the little arch thing gets wider toward the end...is there some sort of retaining clip that fell off that's allowing it come come all the way out and flop back?

yeah at the end of that arch it had two hook like parts on each side to stop the armrest from coming out, you may have to pick a new one up from a junk yard or somethin.

umm.. at the back of the armrest, when you lift the thing up, there should be a latch kind of thing like they have on doors.. there are 4 screws, 2 into the part you lift and 2 in the actuall center piece.. if you're missing a screw, you could just take out another screw and find out the size, and then like.. get another one, if your missing the whole latch, a junkyard should have it for next to nothing or one of out NICO friends will have it too..

I'm going to remove the console to tinker with the e-brake....while I'm in there, I'll see what I can find in there.
