I have a 92 coupe with a s14 motor in it. Of course to do the motor swap, I had to strip down the s14 block and put back on the s13 parts, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, etc. My question is, will I still see some hp gains if I swap my old s13 cams into my new s14 motor? I heard the only reason that you see gains is because of the s14's ECU and MAF is different than the s13's, but since I still have my s13 ECU, I did'nt know if I would still get the same effect. Also, how do you identify between the exhaust cam and intake cam? Both cams look identical. Thanks.

The s13 had the bigger cams 240 248 and a smaller mafs. The s14 had smaller cams and a larger mafs. I know we have gotten really good results with the s13 cams in the s14 with s14 mafs. You would do better if you had two exhaust cams 248 248 (four teeth method) otherwise you won't feel much in the s13.
