s13 ca18det troubles :/

hi guys first of all im new to nicoclub but i have previously been on here tons of times to trouble shoot.....
ok i have a s13 ca18det have changed the timing belt and head gasket (no trouble as i have done this before) however when i start her up its over revving,backfiring or not idling at all.....
have taken cam belt off rechecked it was at tdc check
refitted cambelt everything lines up fine check
checked the cas is not broken check
thought it may have been an earthing issue put earth straps everywhere poss check
injectors all firing check
coil packs good check
plugs good check
:wtf2:
please help this is doin my head in!

Check for codes and then get back to us. I'll bet the timing belt is off a tooth. I've SWORN to myself a million times it was on right, and messed with checking things for hours, before I re-re-re did the timing belt and it fixed it.

Sorry forgot to mention I already have and it only came up with low coolant level

I did have to solder the loom where the O2 sensor plug is because it had broken

are your coilpack connections and injector connectors all tight? I used to have a problem where I could here them "click" on, but would still have to unplug and re plug them back in to get them to work.

Yep just checked every dam connection in the engine bay....
Do you know how I go about posting photos?
Has anyone had to solder a 02 sensor cable before I'm really wondering if this is the problem...

I don't think your O2 sensor is causing this over-revving and/or back-fire you speak of. Pay close attention to your water temperature sensor. If it is truly revving too high or being difficult to start-up, then hunt in the area of the water temperature sensor or its connector. Also, ensure that all vacuum related hoses are connected.
