Hi all
just got myself a 200sx s13 ca18det. and im fitting a rb25det engine, box, loom, prop, ecu and subframe.
Im good with the mechanics of dropping the lump in but need help with the wiring.
i can solder wire and have a basic understanding of auto wiring. i have no voltmeter nor would i know how to use one!
i have totally removed the air con system exept air con wiring fuses etc. so if this ties in with the rb wiring im not too bothered about it being connected or removed.
right now the ca engine is still in with a knocking bottom end that i will be selling if anyone is interested? i have removed the engine loom and ecu without cutting, and have it sat next to the rb engine loom in the garage. all fuel lines, pipes, oil breathers are off, i have removed power steering pump but it looks like i can use the rb pump with the ca pipework? diff is dissconnected, exaust is off, engine and gearbox bolts are off and its all ready to be lifted out.
I also took the dash out 1, because i have a leaking heater/fan problem and 2, to make the process a little easier!
is there a thread that has a detailled explination for dummies?
also
i understand the rb gearbox mount needs to be extended to fit the s13? can anyone shed some light on this? and i read somewhere that the r33 subframe needs to be altered is this true?
i can grind and weld so happy to do any work myself.
i have a full ca propshaft and a rb propshaft. does anyone know which parts ill need? obviously the front rb shaft to fit gearbox but does this connect to the rear half of the ca shaft or do they need to be custom cut?
and
do you need to extend/shorten/bend the clutch pipework?
any help would be appreciated thanks.
