I decided to install the used C's shifter I bought from Japan into my car. The installation went pretty good, no problems at all except taking out the first C ring (didn't know it took some muscle).

Anyway, the shifter is just like stock, but with throws in the upward direction reduced greatly. The throws downward were also reduced. There isn't one rattle and the shifts are now firm and crisp. Nothing too stiff.

Overall the car feels really great now. Rev matching is much more precise since now (I've always been used to rev-matching a VQ...for maxima owners, I'm sure you know how nice that is :)

basically it's what I expected from an original product :)

depends...it's the version that obx/pm copied. you could get a very similar shifter from their companies for a lot less than half the price.

C's brand new went for around 35000 yen, their selling price is around ~$200.

majority will say B&M. I say it's up to your preference.

If you want to go C's just go pilot or obx.

btw, this shifter is actually for sale...i can give you a good price. pm me if you're interested.

the reason i went with the C's is because i had heard that the B&M units rattle... whether or not that is true i don't know. The C's is a really nice short throw with no rattle at all... even better with some new synthetic Redline GL-4 transmission fluid :) Both are popular well made products ... the C's is just harder to find.
