well today was a great day for my baby cuz she got herself a new set of lungs. A full 3" catback exhaust system went on her and the response is amazing. I dont have my turbo on yet but i can only imagine how it will sound then. Unfortunately i wasnt as fortunate enough to get the stainless steel one but the aluminized steel is not something to complain about. The sound is simply amazing. it doesnt sound ricey at all. its extremely deep and gets real loud at WOT. i dont have a resonator nor is my cat exactly emissions passing, but its a lovely sound. it actually sounds really similar to a 300zx with an aftermarket exhaust. (non-rice of course) the piping is mandrel bent and has only two bends that are greater than 110 degrees so that the exhaust is not restrictive in any sort of way. Greg will definitely be able to elaborate more on it for all of you that need more in depth. as for the looks, i tried to keep it factory as much as possible. the muffler is a dual tip with 2 3" tips on it. they are shaped extremely similar to the factory ones (not curved up like the jdm tyte ones) and of course they are bigger but they sit in the exact same spot. the exhaust DOES NOT scrape at all. my car is lowered exactly 2.2 inches in the front and 1.2 in the back. havent scraped on anything at all. i will try to post pics as soon as i get a chance to size em down, or unless greg beats me to it. BRM rules!!!!!!!!!!!

it could be quiet like stock but i think u would definitely need a resonator and u definitely couldnt get 3" piping. u could always compensate by turning up the radio tho. :c)

i personally have absolutely no problem w/ loud exhaust systems. If you've ever heard a B&B cat back on a TT Z32, thats one of my favorite exhausts. However, I've come to realize that a loud exhaust is loud to people other than me (say the police men, the neighbors, and anyone else that drives around me). Then there's also the best feature about a stock volume exhaust - being able to hear the engine when its running, and with that, being able to hear the engine when its running bad, or when the car is otherwise making strange noises. After reading the 8 pages in the sticky, I'm thinking some aftermarket downpipe, 2.5" midpipe w/ a highflow cat and probably 2.5"(was 3" until the reading) dual tipped BRM w/ the largest resonator. But for now, its just a matter of allocating the money to carry out my desire

the single looks goofy as hell, but that's a huge tip and it doesn't have as tight a bend in it...

think I'd run the dual as well personally, being it looks way better and isn't gonna cause an extreme effect on performance.

they do look nice though, I'd buy some if they had some that'd fit:D

like a 3 inch 1 in 2 out setup for the t-bird (I don't wanna try to make the room for a true dual, they've been done, but most have sharper bends in them anyway...)

or I could buy an S13 like I've been meaning to do...

anyone have a nice black DOHC coupe they wanna give away?:D

I can put something together that is as quiet as stock (different sound, but no louder).

With NO impact on horsepower. We're good. :D

I also really like the look. I too would like a dual pipe exhaust. I just don't like the look of one huge pipe thats like 5 inches big... I don't get that. Any luck for s14 drivers and this exhaust?

Is the single tip exhaust the oval canister or is it round (like N1)? Not the tip but the muffler. It's hard to tell from the pic. I thought the original single tip had a oval shape canister on it. Any more pics of the single?

The single tip was oval, unless they've changed it recently. But all the first set of pics had an oval single tip muffler.
