So i have a 89 fastback and i swapped a sr20 in just before spring. When i got the car i had no idea it was in a flood untill after i signed the bill of sale/trade and then he gave me the title that said flood vehicle. he said it only went up the the floor but there was sand all over my strut tower and wiper cowel. i drove the car for 2 months then the blower motor went out. then i pulled the engine like a week later and put in a sr and had to go to basic training before i could finish get it running. got home and worked on it only to find out my sr ecu was burnt, ran the car with the heater liines recirculated. it got to the point where it was to cold otu and i finally got the motivation to hook up the heater core. then i realised my blower motor went out the beginning of the year. changed it out saturday and it worked perfect. then the next day it was doing good on the way to work. then after work it seemed like it was weaker, and i had to tap on it at work to get it on. it squeeled a couple times then it finally stayed on. then today it was weak on the way to work but still pushed some air. then after when i got out tonight it didnt work at all. im gonna pull it out now and see what i find. just woundering if this has happened to anyone else or if i just have such good luck that i got a blower motor that only had a little bit left in it. the motor is out of a parts car thats been sitting for at least a year maybe longer. also my battery light is kinda on, its half way light up, im running a ka24e alternator. i think its going out but idk if this would cause a problem with my fan. maybe a power surge killed my motor idk... any help would be good thanks
