Ok, so I got my S13 in and I thought everything was ok, but the harness was cut in two places. First off the harness was cut right before the battery where the three ends are. The small brown terminated connector is still there but the bigger brown connector and grey connecter have been cut off. Im assuming that this wont be a problem since those two connectors have to be cut off and rewired anyway right???

Also, there are two cut wires coming out of the engine harness right around where the wires for the MAF branch off. The colors are Pink with a white stripe and black. I think these are the power steering wires but Im not sure

If anyone can help with the wiring it would be great.

Also I noticed that the colors of the wires on my harness dont match up completey with the wiring direction on srswap.com. Can anyone give me a list of what colors on the S13 blacktop harness go to what colors on the KA connectors right behind the battery?

Thanks!

The three cut sections shouldnt be a problem, they are supposed to be spliced into the KA harness later.

The wire you think is PS sounds like it is, however it should be purple with white stripe, not pink. Thats a pretty positive ID since there are no pink wires on the SR harness, some on the KA. IIRC

If you have an early model blacktop (1995-1996) like most people do, then the wires should be the exact same. If you have the Kouki (1997-1998) S13 SR20DET then the wires may be different, but I did not think they were. What colors aren't matching exactly? Those cut portions may not be the three plugs, but others instead. Pics are always helpful.

I cut off the two connectors from the KA harness and I was able to line up most of the wiresFrom the SRswap website:

I got the following connected

Black / Pink stripe Fuel Pump Relay Black / Pink stripe Green / Orange stripe Transmission Neutral Sensor Green / Orange stripe Red / Black stripe ECU Relay Red / Black stripe Red ECU Backup Power Red

Black / White stripe ECU Power Black / White stripe Blue / Green stripe AC Relay Blue / Green stripe Black / Yellow stripe Idle Air Control Valve Power Black / Yellow stripe

The following are the ones Im unsure of

Black / Red & Blue / Red (Note: connect 2 wires to 1) Main Ignition Power Black / Red stripe I think I understand this but there is a thick black w/Red stripe and a thick blue w/red stripe, Im supposed to connect these two to the black w/red strip on the connector? Im not sure because there is another blue wire with a red stripe that is much thinner on the SR harness side

Green / Yellow stripe AC Relay Green / Yellow stripe Im not sure of this one because there are TWO green wires with yellow stripes on the SR harness side that look the EXACT same. Should I connect both???

Brown (to O2 sensor) O2 Sensor Power Any 12v switched source SRSWAP says to connect the brown wire to any 12v switched source but I do see a brown wire on the KA connector. Should I just connect them together?

Its been awhile since I have done that wiring, but if I remember correctly, the two thick wires on the SR harness black with red stripe, and blue with red stripe should be spliced together before connecting it to the KA harness to the thick black with red stripe.

If I remember correctly, the thin blue wire with red stripe isnt even used.

For the O2 sensor, there is no corresponding wire on the KA harness, so what you do is splice it to and 12 volt source on the SR/KA harness. You can splice it to the thick wires if you want since they are 12 volt sources and you are already splicing them into the KA harness at the same time.

AC, I have no idea, but I would just splice both, you can try one and if the AC doesnt work try the other.

Ok, thanks speedracerI spliced the thick black with red, thick blue with red, and the O2 all together. Im going to put the wiring and motor in tonight so hopefully everything works out. I didnt bother with the AC for now since I found out that the KA compressor wont fit the bracket....

Yeah, using the SR compressor is the "easy" way.
