hi i have a 91 240sx with a s13 blacktop sr20det and it has not been runnin in over a year now cuz of some stupid mistakes on my part. After the swap was put in it ran fine for about 6 months until one day i was a little inhebriated and connected my battery up backwards and after that i have not been able to get it to run. I have replaced the ecu with a factory replacement, i have replaced the upper engine harness with a new one from wiringspecialties.com, i have replaced the CAS and just recently the ignitor chip and it still wont run. The car will turn over but thats about it. Ive come to the conclusion that the coil packs arent firing but i cant figure out why. The car doesnt have alot of mods just the common one for the swap such as a fmic, dc sport 255 lph fuel pump, and a dual elec fan thats it. Also the main engine fuse is blown but i have it kinda ghetto wired together, all the interior lights come on up that fuse wired like so ive kinda wrote that off as a problem but since im runnin out of ideas im in the process of getting a replacement fuse for it, but if that does not work then i have no idea of whatelse could be the culprit. Also the CAS may not be in perfect time but i figured even though its not it should atleast fire on one cylinder. Im completely out of ideas and i would greatly appreciate the vast knowledge of this forum to help me out.
Thanks

You've checked the timing with a light? That will eliminate the possibility of coil packs not firing and potential mistiming issues.

Beyond that, make sure that the coil packs are getting the 12v source they're supposed to get. Given that you hooked your battery up backwards, make sure nothing between the engine bay fuse box and the two connectors going from the main harness to the EFI harness has melted.

Im completely suprised that there has only been one post. Does nobody else have anything to add?

I checked the wires today and all is good. Also i cant check the timing with a light cuz it wont run long enough. But i did put it TDC so the timing has to be close enough to atleast fire once. I checked all the coil packs with a test light and their getting nothing. Also the fuse that is out is a FL 75 amp alt fuse.

that 75 amp fuse is the key to all the ignition system. You need to check the coil igniter for power from the ecu and from the 12vdc and ground. Tell me what you got so we can lead you to more solutions!

What exactly do u mean coil ignitor? I used a test light to check for power in the harness before the ignitor chip and got power but when i tried to check it after the ignitor chip we get no power, and i have changed the ignitor chip.

I believe your only supposed to see power going one way at the ignitor unless there is a issue. And you should verify your cas timing, the Sr is real finiky and being one tooth off 1 tooth either direction may cause this no start no fire issue. There is alot of adjustment at the cas, on top of the 1 tooth mis-alignment.

Ok guys my sr is up and runnin. It was a combination of a blown alt fuse and a bad CAS and timing. But its good now but one more bad is i either have to rebuild/replace my t25, but instead if anybody has a good used t28 for sell let me know.

Also now that it runs im havin a trouble to get it to start now, i basically have to get in it and pray and sweet talk it to start, im thinkin my starter could be goin out its got alota failed attempts to start it under its belt. So let me know if ya think im right or wrong.

your battery probably needs a good recharge.

I've seen several SR motorswaps where the starter s*** shortly after swapping. If charging your battery doesn't fix your issue, Enjuku sells the ISIS OE replacement starters for a good price. Also, if you check the Engine/Drivetrain Classifieds section, you should be able to find a T28 turbo for a decent price. Several people upgrade to those and later decide that it's not enough.

Also, if it is just turning over and not starting there is a fuse, (10amp) has to do with timing advance, if this fuse is blown it will be very difficult to start. I believe it is called the start signal. Its in your interior fuse panel.
