s13 auto transmission issue

sometimes when i slide my transmission sticks in 2nd gear i believe...anyone know what the deal is... it will go right back to normal after i put it in park and shut it off

the "*******" kind of has a point. Automatic's simply wern't made to take that kind of abuse.

The tran's is prolly gonna be junk soon. Or the tran's could just be getting too hot. get a trans cooler on the car and a trans temp gauge and see if that's the problem.

how miles are on the trans/motor?auto's for s13's are easy to find if it goes out.

Sounds like the transmission control module is going into safe mode, probably from over revving the trans. Next time it does it when you restart the car watch the OD light. If it stays on for 2 sec all is well. If it flashes repetitively then there's a fault code, IE over revving. Restarting will reset the tcm and it will function normally. There is a way of pulling codes from the tcm if you have more problems just do a search, But if it runs right after you restart you should be fine.

and yes... my od light does flash everytime my car turns on....where would i go to get that checked?...or is it like the stock ecu that you need to do all the wierd quarter turn and watch lights?

find and download the FSM it will give you all the info you need. you can pull the codes yourself. Its all in the FSM

look ...did you not catch the part about winter...it snows in idaho...and i believe i said whenever my car slides which happens alot becasue snow and ice have alot less fricton compared to pavement....and i love how you took the sig pic of your race car off after people started to see your honda side skirts...and im sure you were just saving for the front and rear bumper...and my auto if you may know is my daily driver and i have no intentions to do anything to it.... it runs fine how it is and i dont want to "ricer fan boi" an ess arr or mega boost my ka with 156k...i asked a simple question and there was one person who gave me valid input...and for that ... thank you for being helpful

I didn't take my pic off...look at my first post it's still there. Did you leave your brain in your Honda? The signature (i.e my pic) only shows up once per page...are you an idiot? How can they be Honda side skirts when they are made for/on a 240sx? Do you think Honda parts are interchangable with 240's? I've had that picture on there forever and I doubt I would take it off just because some fanboi doesn't like my sideskirts, personally I love them and that's all that matters to me. Plus all the compliments I get on them

As for the front and rear bumper actually I just got my new bumpers today! I'm pretty happy because my rear bumper was pretty messed yp so I bought a really nice stock rear bumper and a stock piggy bumper in excellent shape with a lip for $200.00 (They are immaculate) Pretty much I only am doing overfenders and the sideskirts body wise, otherwise the body will be all stock with stock bumpers

Why get so butt hurt about what I think about your car or your driving habits? It's your car so do what you think looks good or what you like, of course there will be people like me pitching you lot's of **** about it but that's what we do I actually find it quite fun to do it

In your opinion fail, especially if you are one of the purist's that go for the "clean" look. I hate those kind of cars, if you are going to modify it....modify it! I love cars that stand out and grab your attention over a stock 240 that was made for secretaries...As stated the skirts get compliments all the time Personally I think your car fails too...stock body with a 2jz I love the 2jz...when it's in a toyota.

Clean and well done is matter of opinion...personally I don't like all the honda or 240 kits I see but if the person did the work right then I consider it clean and admire the work they put into it by doing it right. Personally I like alot of the cars that I hear people call rice (i.e big spoilers, crazy skirts and bumpers) because it makes the car a piece of art and that persons interpretation of it....not what everyone else does.

Rice in my opinion is an attitude, you could have a MKIV 2jz supra and still be a ricer (example: nick hogan) Since you have this attitude lesbo...I mean lizmo I present you with take it as a token to show your ricer attitude.

Actually yes I do it is coming around quite nicely, those are pretty old pics...it's a project car ya dildo. Recently I have replaced the whole front end, new core support, new wheel bearings all around, new rotors, new brakes, etc...I am pretty sure anyone has a right to make fun of someone else's car that they don't like, no law says that your car has to be better than their's in order to make fun of them/know what you are talking about.

That would be dent Unless they don't have those where you come from...stuff happens when it gets drifted. The previous owner had overfenders on it and when I popped them off that is what was under it on that side. Since then I have cut out the old sheet metal and replaced it with a sheet from a junkyard

I strip it down to metal and then primer it that way there is no rust or any kind of pockets in the paint when I paint it....Stock? It's not stock. And yeah I did call someone with $1000.00 into wheels and $10,000 into a swap a ricer, the amount of money you put in doesn't matter it's how it's done, the person's attitude and whether you like it or not that determines them to be ricer...Personally a 2jz in a 240 is rice...nissan with nissan and toyota with toyota imo.
