Are the subframe bushings on an S13 and a Z32 the same? I want to know because I need urethane bushings, but I can't find a full bushing set for the 240SX. All I see are solid aluminum bushings, aluminum subframe spacers and the Energy Suspension sleeves that just go over the old crappy bushings.

Energy sells the actual bushings for the Z32:

If they are the same I will just buy that set. Please don't tell me just to buy the solid aluminum bushings or collars. I am building this car to certain SCCA specifications, and metal bushings are prohibited. Thanks guys...

I called SPL (because the guys there really know their stuff) and I was told that the 300zx Energy bushing set was a little different , but could be cut a little to fit. I may try that as the Energy kit is about half the cost of the Nismo replacement bushings, which are the only other non-metallic bushing kit out there...

i was never aware that the energy kit didnt replace the stock bushings, you sure about that

also, you can get an rs*r "drift bushing" kit i think its called, its just normal urethane bushings though, check phase 2, maybe enjuku and 240sx motoring, one of those guys should have them

Yeah, what you get in both the Energy set and RSR set are just polyurethane sleeves that slip into your existing bushings...

You can use the energy suspension Z32 bushings, all you will need are 4 m12x1.25 bolts to replace your stock ones and make them fit the slightly longer bushings.

Here is a nice writeup a guy did, I think it might be sticky worthy in the mechanic thread but I'll leave that up to the higher powers:

Wow, old thread...

This is no longer an issue since Energy has started selling the subframe pineapples.

It should still be held as an option for people that want it or can't get the energy bushings.

Also it seems that there is nobody that currently has energy suspension bushings nor do they know when energy will make more. If you do know who has them, share the info, I'm actually in the market for a set of them.
