I picked mine up a few months ago cheaper, but that was one of the last one's of the shipment, the shipment after thaat was goign to have a $30-40 price ncrease, due to metal prices going through the roof. I don't know what the current market price is.

I'd never tell another man what to charge for a product and/or service...

But it seems a bit high to me.

This is where I got my Koyo for my S13 with a KA24DE. Also got my Walbro from InjectedPerformance for 88$ shipped. To me: This forum is about helping everyone out. I'm not 'nockin AMS, just letting everyone know what's out there and available.

Honestly, the issue here is that these Ebay vendors buy such a large quantity that they get giant discounts per item. So, they pop 'em up on Ebay and undersell the specialty shops that offer what would normally be good pricing.

$380 shipped would have been a great price, if it weren't for the Ebayers that bought 500 radiators @ $150 each, then marked them up 50-75%.

However, with some items, there's much to be said for purchasing from an actual store with real people. For example, buy some crap wastegate on Ebay and it blows up your motor, you're just outta luck. Buy a wastegate from a specialty store, it's gonna be good because they won't ever stock the crappy part in the first place.

Additionally, it's always nice to be able to take something back to a store when there's a problem, instead of going through SquareTrade and all it's gayness (and I sincerely think they're all idiots there).

Chris, something you should really look into would be in-store financing.

No, not AMS actually financing the deal, but AMS getting established with a lending institution that could swing high APR loans for low credit customers.

One of the local shops did that here in town and they outsell the other 3 or 4 shops by more than half, both parts AND labor. Additionally, they're able to charge good prices, not ripping anyone off, but not killing the profit so badly that they can barely stay open. People don't mind paying a little extra later to get good stuff now.

Remember, DSM = ****loads of money to be spent.

240sx = don't have ****loads of money, otherwise they'd own something else.

I don't personally know AMS's policy's, but when I used to work at a car audio/video shop in FL, we were so called 'distributors' of name brand companies. Whether the customer brought in a broken part they bought from us, or someone else, we still honored the 'manufacturers' warranty/exchange/return policy's. So even if they bought it somewhere else, we would still exchange or return the product. That's just something you do as a distributor I suppose. But I also suppose it depends on the manufacturers policy's as well.

Maybe the idea that KATwo40 had would be a suggestion. I'm no business man, and I don't claim to be. I graduated from a public high school in FL, so that should say something....they didn't even teach us how to vote right..

Thanks for the suggestion

However, we have already done this. We have actually stopped working with the company because their interest rates were rediculously high. If there is another company out there that gives nice low rates to our customers, I would be more than williing to give them a shot.

Hey Chris, I know this is off-topic (well sort-of) but about the financing thing: I have a friend at a shop here in Raleigh, NC that told me about a deal that GM is doing for a lot of shops (including performance shops) where they will give the customers loans for parts and labor w/ ZERO interest for 6 or 12 months depending on how the shop owner sets it up. It has no credit check to my knowledge, and everything is handled through GM and not the shop - so GM pays the shop, and then the customer pays GM (or doesn't and faces the repercussions from GM). I don't know if this is something that could possibly work out for you or not, but I figured that I would give you a head's up on it!

Oh yeah, and keep up the awesome work!
