At autocross today there was a GTR running! Happened to line up next to an s13 (and a supra). Its hard to tell, but there both in the Novice class. Yes, there was a GTR in the novice class.

He actually wasnt doing that well. The course was pretty technical so he was catchin cones with such a big car and there wasnt really anywhere to open it up so no use for all that power.

Def more of a GT car than an autox rat. Still good to see someone using their GT-R on a track.

with the money he spent on the gtr he could have had a badass 240 that would prolly be more fun on the tight course than a gtr monster

Was this the laurinburg auto-x? My schools sports car club went and I wanted to go, but I don't have my 240 at college.

Yeah it was the Laurinburg one. Too bad you missed it. Definitely was a fun course and it was pretty long to. Fastest times were about 72.

laurinsburg is nice, but i personally like my home town auto-x course here in sanford.

that's jasper, pretty nice guy; lives in feyetnam, hes on carolinanissans.com, think its a base model(like it matters? haha), but hes really into auto-x so kudo's to him

Sadly when I'm not at school in charlotte, Laurinburg is my home. There are only give or take 5 240s there, and my old one was the only one that had anything done to it till recently(my buddies kouki).

somehow I always miss these types of events

So I take it you go to UNC? I go to NC State...I guess I can make an exception to my normal hatred of anything UNC haha.

UNC Charlotte actually, I hate UNC also. Almost went to State, but wasn't really feeling the campus...

sometimes I wonder if I should have gone to State instead!

You should have! Haha I didn't really like the campus either, but it's gotten a lot better. It's pretty chill, I like it a lot more than I did at the beginning of the year.

glad to see they didn't just buy it and baby it, and hopefully the body held up to smacking a few cones. It's a Nissan so I'm pretty sure it can take a beating. And for $70+ G's it better.

The first GTR was powered by an S20.

100x cooler than any GTR that followed.

The 240 looks like a toy next that thing.

+1

I didn't like the new gt-r until i saw it in person, it looks alright, no r34 or nothing, but the lack of manual transmission is what really upsets me.

Heres a video of an original GTR(gangster):http://www.youtube.com/watch?g...latedAnd this modded one on Fuji, listen to the car, mmmmm.:http://www.youtube.com/watch?g...5t37U

But anyways nice pics, =) heh envious del sol hanging with the fr/awd crew. The new gtr's are still awd right? Is there a gts rwd option?

Its all awd. And yeah it really bugs me about the no manual, i cant stand paddle shifters. As for the del sol... you cant have a top if you dont have a bottom.

Yeah... It's called the G37 coupe...

And the GTR haters astound me. Yes, it's big as hell, but that just means there's more to love.
