Yeah just like "brokeAs" said, you can find this at the headunit harness (also called accessory power if it is momentarily interupted during the crank cycle of the ignition cylinder) as long as it is a small wire with low current consumption ( less than 7.5 amps). Otherwise you can always use the cigarette lighter harness which also accesory powered, and usually supplies at least 15 amps. Also make sure that the blue wire on you headunit is a remote turn on, or amplifier turn output that turns on with any operation of the headunits functions, (i.e. Cd, am/fm/xm/ changer/mp3....etc) sometimes there will be a power antenna turn on lead that shuts off during cd player operation, and lower the antenna.
Some sony headunits actually have a light blue wire for HU mute, like when you handsfree or NAVaudio is sending a signal. What kind of headunit do you have? Is this a bazooka tube style amp/woofer combo? What size is it?
