I have Suspension Techniques springs which lower about 1.5". I was wondering if you guys/gals with lowering springs have had to put in camber bolts to maintain a decent treadwear or if you can get away with only an alignment? Does the gain in camber with this amount of drop require camber kits?

I am looking for 2-2.5 deg front and 1.5-2 deg. rear.

Thanks,Nate

Anything over an inch drop needs camber correction for the street.

Do you generally get more toe-in or toe-out when dropping the suspension?

I have sportlines and gr-2s and the tires wore fast on the inside. Previous owner is a moron. Get an alignment, you should be fine. I bought the camber parts and was told I dont need them. The stock camber adjust is adequate.

you get toe in. the negative camber will come with lowering the car. the front you will have to get camber bolts if you want it any more or less, but it should be fine. just get the toe adjusted.

Thanks for the reply.

What alignment settings do you guys have with lowering springs and no camber bolts?

My camber settings were able to be set within spec after RS*R Race drop about 1.25" in front, 1.5" in rear. No camber plates needed.

i have the whiteline springs and they claim about 1.75" drop and i measured about 1.5" drop. im not sure what the alignment was after i put them on but i had the alignment set to -1.5 front, -1.1 rear w/ a little more negative camber on passenger side, and 2 mm toe in both sides on the rear. i got these specs from a car magazine that suggested this alignment for a 200sx. i do have camber bolts for the front and eccentric camber bolts on the upper control arms on the rear but im not sure if they were needed. pretty sure the bolts were needed for the front
