Post

I have read about 15 or 20 topics about the subject but just have yet to find a definitive answer.

I am AutoXing the car about 1 once a month - daily driving it the rest of the time until I get myself a DD.So I need my tires to last a bit... :P

After all the reading I came to this :

Front : Camber : 1.8 Caster : 7.2 Toe In : 0.012Rear : Camber : 1.4 Toe In : 0.020

Do those seems like decent setting that will allow my tires to last ?Can I run more Camber up front without wearing the tires to much more ? How does the Toe look ? Should I put more /// less in the front or rear ?I am like everybody else looking for that neutral feel...

If I understand well - the more caster the more camber as I turn - so that is something I should try to max out -- but everything I read recommend about 7 degree so far ay reason ?

Looks good for daily status, although I would run more front castor if you have adjustable rods. You could also run more front camber.

2.0 camber wouldnt do to much harm to the tires ?7.5 caster sounds good ?

And if anybody knows of a good shop in maryland that knows what they are doing and talking about I would really apreciate. (Rockville Area)

Thx

What adjustable links are you running? Tires? Coilovers?

Well my current tires are about to need replacement -- will go for some "summer hi-perf" stuff.

Coilovers - Adj RUCA - Adj Rear Toe - Adj Tension Rods (caster) - Camber plates -- I do think that is about it :P

Don't have that little one that goes in the back -- not sure what adjusting that would yield one - and Im pretty sure sears would not be able to help me with it.

This is a good setup for a daily driver/autoX machine:

Front:Toe: 0 degCaster: 8*Camber: -2.5*

Rear:Toe: 0, or up to 1* toe inCamber: -2*

The zero toe will give you good tire wear by preventing scrubbing, and zero rear toe will give you good power-on turn in as you try to rotate your car through gates; however, you will need to be a bit more aware as your car may become twitcher at speed. The camber can be increased more (i plan on running -3*front -2*rear) but you may start cupping/feathering your tire or getting other odd wear patterns.

You may also want to invest in a set of thicker sway bars, and increase your camber to -3*front -2.5*rear. This will give you crisper turn-in as well.
