I recently purchased some headlights off ebay..but when i went to install them i noticed the metal ring that holds the light in does not fit around the new lights...i can only get 3 outta 4 screws in. Has anyone had this similer problem?? i have them in there now but the fitment isnt right..... any advice will be appreciated!

wiggle them around just a tad, Mine had the same issure, and it turned out the bulb was getting stuck on the back of the housing.. make sure the back of the housing clears before shoving it in.. the lense is probably sticking on 1 side.. do a double check.

Maybe i wasn't clear....basically the bulbs are in the sealed beam encloser.....now the problem i am having is with the whole assembly....when u take out the sealed beam encloser it's held on by a thin metal bracket and 4 screws.....this is what im speaking of when i say "the metal ring that holds the light in does not fit around the new lights" but thanx for the input....anyone else?

yeah, thats what im talking abuot, the "whole headlight that fits in the metal ring" theres a hole in the back, i was saying on the back of my headlight, theres a "seal plastic ring", that holds the bulb to the "glass headlight" that plastic ring was hitting the backing of the headlight aiming holdster.. that has the 4 holes that you screw the screws into.. i had to remove the plastic ring, cause it wasnt fitting in the back hole of the stock headlight holdster.. i dont know what to describe the parts.. but you know what im talking about.. check to see if the headlight clears both sides of the headlight holdster.. it might be too wide. always double check.

I had to "stretch" my metal ring out a bit. Once it actually goes on (it's a tite fit), it will stay on.

Easiest way for me is to bolt in the bottom two pieces so they fit, then wiggle the top part in like S13ChucKAT said. It will fit, or should, just use a little elbow grease, it shouldn't break anything :).

I think most people w. ebay lights have similar problems

as the light housing is thicker than stock. one way to bypass this is to use slyvanna.

for me, i just balanced the screws out so all 4 are in then i tightened them. works fine for me. :D
