Ok. So I'm getting suspension components for my s13. I need opinions from people who actually get **** done on their cars.

Now I don't want this to be a "what coilovers should I get" thread, but I've been going crazy researching. I don't mind spending the money on a expensive set. However, I've been looking at 2 "cheap" ones.

1st ones being Powered by Max.

http://www.gtfactory.jp/cms//e...cat=1

They seem to get the job done. A lot of people who seriously drive their cars are telling me to get these.

The others being the upper end Stances. They offer the GR+ and the GR+ Pros for marginally more. Who here runs helper springs? Do they help with the dampening or do they just ruin a linear spring?

Am I just wasting my money and should just cough up the money for the more expensive ones?

For adjustable arms, after a ton of research I think I'm going with Peak Performance.

They advertise superior rod ends and seem to be my best in my opinion. Am I wrong?

i did alot of research on products in this price range before i decided on Stance GR+ and battle version arms, i called Enjuku and talked to a few guys there and they said that setup would be perfect for what im doing with the car, which is daily driving and weekend track, they said most other coilovers in the price range didnt offer the driveablilty, or civility, that the stances did while still being a competitive entry level coilover, and that the battle version arms (which are nearly identical to peaks) were very strong and a few of them had them on there personal cars

i do not have experience with this setup YET but im sure that once i do get everything installed ill love it(oh and btw the stances are on a 2 week backorder just incase that matters to ya)

power by max is the sh1t y0. They're arms are great and beefy, yet at affordable prices. The PBM coilovers are stiff as heck tho... like for a daily driver, your kidneys would feel it afterwards

Powered by max suspensions arms or cheaper and they get the job done, they don't use cheap bearings and like stated b4 that **** is beefy.

as far as their coilovers i would choose Stances over them, only because they are pretty damn stiff doe DD, but the valving is excellent.

either way, both of these coils are wayyyy better then the generic CHEAPO coilovers.(Ksport, NEX, megan)

To the OP, its too bad you don't live here in Socal. PBM has a stateside office here in San Diego, and their guys over here are really helpful and informative on any questions you'd have

I have helper springs on my rears (hks hypermax II). they're supposed to help with shock rebound or something like that...

IMO, for daily driving, you probably won't tell the difference that much between the two... at least I can't...

either way, you really can't go wrong with any of the choices you provided. My only input on Stance is I've heard from a few users of them having difficulty with the pillowball rotating at the camber plate (I've read online)... but a few of my close friends (like 3 of them) ride Stance, and love them

Another set I'm considering. Looks like they could be good. Though they are a million way adjustable and that kinda turns me off. Anyone have experience with these? I do like the progressive rear springs(instead of a helper spring)
